Description
We are looking for Polymer Chemist or Material Scientist to strengthen our formulation capabilities of the polymers and materials we develop. In this impactful position, as part of our research and development team, you will work in close collaboration with our senior product development specialists and partners to create new products and formulations to semiconductor packaging applications. You will participate and lead one or multiple R&D projects critical to business and through your contribution ensure timely project milestone advancement. Your work includes reporting to management, partners and customers. To succeed in this role, you should be a dynamic individual with a solid technical background.
Your task will include:
- Design, develop, execute and support on-time commercialization of new adhesive formulations and products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop advanced semiconductor packaging solutions that meet product specifications and requirements.
- Work closely with partners, external suppliers and vendors to evaluate new materials, technologies, and equipment for packaging enhancements.
- Develop efficient production routes and/or scale-up methods for supply chain for materials to be commercialized
- Compile development results into comprehensible summaries
- Report and communicate research findings internally as well as to partners and customers globally
- Guide other technical staff to complete tasks and mentor their development
Desired skills and abilities:
- A strong, dynamic, positive work ethic and a solid team player
- Effective communication and good interpersonal skills
- Minimum M.S. level education in chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science.
- Understanding of semiconductor packaging principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of materials used in semiconductor packaging, such as solder, epoxy, mold compounds, and substrates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
