Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Chemist with strong expertise in organic chemistry and polymer synthesis to support our expanding R&D activities. In this role, you will work hands-on in the laboratory, developing new materials and formulations while contributing to customer-driven development programs.

You will play a key role in transforming laboratory results into scalable solutions that create value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage assigned R&D projects independently or as part of a larger program.

• Design and perform laboratory experiments for the synthesis.

• Develop, optimize, and document formulations for targeted applications.

• Characterize materials using techniques such as NMR, GPC, GC, FTIR, TGA, and related methods.

• Collaborate with process engineers to develop the product.

• Prepare technical reports and communicate results internally.

• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement during scale-up and production.

• Analyse experimental data using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) to identify trends and optimize performance is seen as an asset.

Required Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in polymer synthesis or organic chemistry and characterization.

• Solid understanding of polymer synthesis pathways and purification techniques.

• Hands-on experience with synthesis and characterization.

• Proficiency in experimental design and data analysis.

• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative R&D environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in microelectronics, coatings, or advanced functional materials.

• Familiarity with surface modification, adhesion control, or lithography-related materials.
