Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Chemist with strong expertise in organic chemistry and polymer synthesis to support our expanding R&D activities. In this role, you will work hands-on in the laboratory, developing new materials and formulations while contributing to customer-driven development programs.
You will play a key role in transforming laboratory results into scalable solutions that create value for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and manage assigned R&D projects independently or as part of a larger program.
Design and perform laboratory experiments for the synthesis.
Develop, optimize, and document formulations for targeted applications.
Characterize materials using techniques such as NMR, GPC, GC, FTIR, TGA, and related methods.
Collaborate with process engineers to develop the product.
Prepare technical reports and communicate results internally.
Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement during scale-up and production.
Analyse experimental data using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) to identify trends and optimize performance is seen as an asset.
Required Qualifications
PhD or MSc in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in polymer synthesis or organic chemistry and characterization.
Solid understanding of polymer synthesis pathways and purification techniques.
Hands-on experience with synthesis and characterization.
Proficiency in experimental design and data analysis.
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative R&D environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in microelectronics, coatings, or advanced functional materials.
Familiarity with surface modification, adhesion control, or lithography-related materials.
